JoJo Talks About Her Fans, Hearing Her Songs On The Radio
Pepsi Smash’s Track Episode 3 features JoJo doing an in-store signing at Best Buy. They spoke with the singer and her fans, and several fans performed ‘Too Little Too Late’.
Discussing her exit from MTV’s ‘Total Request Live’, the pop singer said, “‘TRL’ was great. I got to see some fans there. It was a great experience. Coming down from ‘TRL’, first I went to the photographers and I feel so silly sometimes, because I’ll be like pose, pose, pose, but that’s what I had to do. Then I went over to my fans, got to talk to them. It’s always great to meet fans and take pictures with them. I have no problem doing that at all. I’m not one of those artist’s who is like ahhh, the fans! Not at all, I’m a people person.”
On her trek to Best Buy at Palisades Mall in West Nyack, New York, she said. “The ride to Palisades Mall was long and there was a lot of traffic, so it was quite a ride, but Katie, who works for Blackground Records, informed me that the biggest record store here in LA had sold out of my album, just a few hours into it, so that was a good feeling.”
On hearing her song on the radio, she said, “I love hearing my song on the radio. It’s a good feeling and it really doesn’t get old. It’s cool to hear my song in a line-up of people like Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera, to be kind of in their company.”
On the Best Buy fan reception she got, JoJo remarked, “I love to get the feedback. What people think about my music. Sometimes people will be like, ‘I love your clothes. Where can I get them?’ I’m more than happy to talk to people about things like that. It’s important that they know I’m just like them.”
