Bananarama ‘Love Comes’ Video Behind The Scenes

Bananarama are out with behind the scenes footage from the filming of their ‘Love Comes’ music video, featuring director Harvey explaining the concept and commentary from Keren Woodward and Sara Dallin.

“The concept is making the girls look as fabulous as they always do and try to just enjoy the lyrics of the song and have a really feel good kinda upbeat video,” Harvey said. “Plenty of color, loads of fashion, loads of fun and just for the girls to look like they’re having a fantastic time.”

The track is off the veteran UK pop group’s tenth album ‘Viva’, out September 14th via Fascination Records. Watch the video via YouTube below.

Bananarama In The Studio With Rev. Run

A posting at Bananarama’s blog at MySpace on Wednesday (August 27) offered an update on what the veteran British pop group have been up to lately. It reads:

Last week the girls were in the studio recording a track with the Rev. Run from Run DMC who has a new album in the pipeline. He wanted to sample “Na Na Hey Hey” for his track but then decided to ask Sara and Keren to sing it instead. Not sure of track title yet but will be Run DMC featuring Bananarama. Razorlights Johnny Borrell also features on the album.

This week they are in the studio with Ian Masterson recording their favourite cover songs for the new album.

We’re also looking at a West End musical, which we’re really excited about,” Karen Woodward told a source. “It would make an ideal party type musical in the same vibe as Abba’s Mamma Mia.”

June 4, 2005 - ‘Top Of The Pops’ caught up with Rachel for a Q&A and asked after seeing autographs for sale on eBay if she’d sell her own autographs on the internet for some extra money. “Actually, that’s not a bad idea …chewing gum on eBay or…,” and when suggested it worked for Britney Spears, Rachel said, “Yeah absolutely. What was it? Oh it WAS her chewing gum wasn’t it? And her pregnancy test, that was wrong, wasn’t it? ‘Ooh, Britney weed on this’, it’s a bit grim, isn’t it!?”
