Bic Runga Sad After Her Favorite Acoustic Guitar Is Stolen

Bic Runga updated fans on her blog at MySpace (@bicrunga) on Wednesday (March 10), upset after her prized acoustic guitar was nicked. The New Zealand singer songwriter tells readers:

My favorite acoustic guitar got stolen tonight from Brown St in Ponsonby. It’s a parlor sized guitar, a Sterling. I’m sad man. Pat from Wilco was in love with it, I wish I’d given it to him, rather than have it go this way. My poor little guitar! I’ll watch out on Trade Me but it’s probably a goner.

The tour with Dave Dobbyn and Tim Finn was amazing, we toured New Zealand vineyards for a whole month. It was quite crazy but I enjoyed every minute. There’s wine here in my house from every part of the country. Not a bad way to tour.

Let me know if you see my guitar. Ouch, it hurts.

Bic Runga updated fans on her blog at MySpace (@bicrunga) on Monday (April 27), talking about a follow-up to her 2005 release ‘Birds’. The New Zealand singer-songwriter tells readers:

New album coming, promise!

Just finished demoing a new song co written with Lawrence Arabia. It’s called “This Girl’s Prepared for War!”

I’ve also been writing new songs with The Mint Chicks, and SJD. We have 12 songs now, ready to start at least demos. I just bought a 1966 Telecaster and a 1964 Vox AC15 amp in original condition!! I get palpitations just thinking about it!
