Emmy Rossum is not happy with the Heidi Montag cover story in People magazine, where ‘The Hills’ star and aspiring singer opens up about her decision to have 10 plastic-surgery procedures in one day to become “the best me.”

Emmy tells her Twitter followers (@emmyrossum):

It upsets me to see young women in the spotlight advocating plastic surgery. ANY surgery is extremely dangerous&should not be taken lightly,

..much less, used as a tool to increase notoriety or popularity.

By putting this on magazine covers, we are somehow legitimizing the dangerous lengths to which some will go for fame and “beauty”

There are so many REAL ISSUES in this world that NEED attention. Let’s try to take a moment to be grateful we are ALIVE.

Heidi Montag Loves Being Critiqued By Anderson Cooper

After Heidi Montag performed her song ‘Body Language’ at the Miss Universe pageant, CNN’s Anderson Cooper called it a “fresh new way to embarrass herself.” Now, ‘The Hills’ star is responding to the cable news diss. “Oh my God, I love it,” Montag told PopEater. “I am so incredibly flattered that he’s talking about the first performance I’ve ever done, that he’s talking about me, that he knows who I am. Who gets on CNN? Britney, when she shaved her head, gets on CNN. That’s all that matters: Heidi, CNN, Anderson Cooper. Done.” Video of the ‘AC360’ segment at Turner.com has since been removed.

Spencer Pratt Hypes Heidi Montag’s Singing Talents

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt called the Bert Show to talk about Heidi’s music career on Friday, with Spencer claiming Heidi is more talented than most of today’s top pop artists.

“I can’t get over that she is a huge pop icon of the world,” Pratt said of Lady Gaga Friday on Q100 Atlanta’s The Bert Show. “People are acting like she’s the new Britney Spears … I don’t know even why this girl gets so much attention and press. I guess if you dress like a fool and have crazy, ridiculous haircuts, people start paying attention. People are calling Lady Gaga the pop princess, [so] what’s Heidi - the pop queen?”

Asked to name five artists Montag is more talented than, Pratt said, “Madonna, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera. I wouldn’t even compare them to Heidi’s level. Spencer Pratt tells UsMagazine.com he’s a huge fan of girlfriend Heidi Montag’s new ’80s-inspired music video, ‘Overdosin’. “What do you think I work out to every day? I know the whole thing by heart!” he said at the Pepsi 500 Running Wide Open Party in Hollywood on Wednesday. Montag added, “I wanted to do something fun with aerobics.”

Music producer RedOne spoke with UsMagazine.com about his work with ‘The Hills’ star Heidi Montag’s continuing efforts to put together her debut album. Asked if Heidi could sing, RedOne responded, “Definitely. She’s really good, and I love her personality and the way it comes through in a song. She makes you believe it. She’s great in the studio.” As for her record label prospects, things sounded a bit vague. “We don’t want to talk about that yet,” RedOne responded. “We have offers and big things, but [we’re] taking our time. Spencer Pratt Claims Heidi Montag Will Sell 10 Million Albums

Spencer Pratt is making laughable boasts about his girlfriend Heidi Montag’s forthcoming debut album. “When people hear what we have in the bank, it’s gonna blow their minds,” her manager told People magazine. “Madonna, eat your heart out. Britney Spears, eat your heart out. I would say we have diamond records coming – they’re gonna sell 10-million plus.” Though given its DIY release, ‘The Hills’ star may be in for a shock. “We’re financing [the album] ourselves on a shoestring budget,” he conceded. “It’s so organic. And this is just the warm-up. We’re just heating up the water in the bathtub. It’s gonna get hot!”
