Christina Aguilera Discusses Sia, Performs ‘You Lost Me’
Christina Aguilera’s ‘You Lost Me’ is considered to be the “heart” of her new album ‘Bionic’. The pop star talked about writing the song with Sia Furler before performing it on ‘VH1 Storytellers’.
“She is so amazing,” Aguilera said of Furler. “Her songs are so introverted and so vulnerable, when you listen to her lyrics, they’re just so raw that I’m thinking, ‘Wow, she must be this serious person’. I was all nervous. My husband has to be the one to nudge me and say, ‘Honey, if you like her that much, why don’t you just call her and work with her.’ … So when I met her for the first time, she was nothing like I had thought. Just super high energy and fun and up.”

Sia Quite Pleased With Her New Album ‘We Are Born’
Sia Furler checked in with fans on her official web site’s blog on Tuesday (March 23), discussing her upcoming album ‘We Are Born’, due out June 7th, writing the CD with Greg Kurstin and recording with her guitar hero Nick Valensi from The Strokes.
The Australian pop singer writes:
So I made my new albarooniooski, it’s called ‘We Are Born’ and turned into a kind of disco album, if I may be so bold.
I went in to Kingsize Studios in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, fell in love with the taco truck ladies opposite, took the dogs to work everyday, had my intern clean up their poop (me), had my intern fix me iced coffees (me), had my intern sing most of the record (me), and I’m pretty pleased with the results.

Sia Furler To Gay Marriage Opponents: Go Fu** Yourselves
Sia Furler checked in with her Twitter followers (@siamusic) on Wednesday (November 4), a day after voters in Maine rejected a law that allowed gays to marry. The Australian singer voiced frustration with President Obama for not publicly backing the measure, and was furious for anyone who backed those against gay marriage. The 33-year-old, who is currently in a same-sex relationship with JD Samson of Le Tigre, tells readers:
Please sign and RT that petition I just posted in support of equality for all. Ask for Obama’s silent compliance to end. It’s so bothersome.
As much as I wish non US citizens could sign it, I think unless you live here, or lie and say your zip code is 90210, for e.g. you can’t.
@paolomac that’s pretty rude. This is my forum, if you don’t care about my take on life why are you following me?
@paolomac oh you’re a homophobe? Well then you can totally go fu** yourself. I don’t need fans like you.
Raging. If you are a homophobe or uninterested in my political views then unfollow me, and go fu** yourself.
WE ARE EQUAL. WE DESERVE EQUAL RIGHTS.
