Or as we call that in California, second marriage.”

May 25, 2006 - TMZ outlined some of their lowlights during last night’s season finale of ‘American Idol’, including runner-up Katharine McPhee’s duet with Meat Loaf, Toni Braxton riffing through lyrics of ‘In The Ghetto’ with show winner Taylor Hicks, Clay Aiken’s annoyance that look-a-like Michael Standecki was so slow to allow their duet to become a solo performance, Prince’s drive-by performance, and David Hasselhoff’s emotional response to Hicks’ victory.
Monster Ratings For ‘American Idol’ Finale
May 25, 2006 - According to The Drudge Report, last night’s finale of ‘American Idol’ pulled a 21.5 rating/32 share, giving FOX a historic sweeps sendoff. The program had an amazing 70 share in Birmingham, Alabama; 50 share in Atlanta; 41 share in Boston; 40 share in Washington, DC and hit a 37 Detroit.
Katharine McPhee Feels Great About Being ‘Idol’ Runner-up
May 25, 2006 - ‘Extra’ caught up with Katharine McPhee after the singer came in second behind Taylor Hicks last night in the finale of ‘American Idol’. “I feel great,” she said. “I really do. I feel like there’s going to be so many great things that are going to come up for me.” Katharine also broke this big news: “Steven Spielberg would like to have a meeting with me. That for me, I think was the thing that really made this last week calming for me. I was just like, ‘Wow, Steven Spielberg would like to have a meeting with me.’ I think that that was the moment where I turned to a couple of my close friends who have been through this competition, and I was like, ‘I don’t know if winning is the best thing for me’.”
