Clay Aiken Tours Tsunami-Devastated Aceh Province

March 17, 2005 - Reuters reports Clay entertained children in Indonesia’s tsunami-devastated Aceh province earlier this week. Visiting as a UNICEF’s goodwill ambassador, Aiken toured refugee camps in the province, where nearly a quarter of a million Acehnese were killed or missing as a result of the December 26 earthquake and tsunami. “I think this is a good thing. It’s a very good thing that they have some opportunity to come here, come together and have fun, and play and sing together,” the singer said.

‘American Idol’ Dream Scenario

March 2, 2005 - Conan O’Brien joked during his Late Night monologue on Tuesday night, “All right. This is a weird story. Listen to me on this one. This is complicated. In Tennessee, a man was arrested for running around naked in public covered in nacho cheese. [Laughter] He was naked and covered in nacho cheese. Yeah, this story is interesting because it combines the favorite dreams of both Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard.”
