Coldplay’s #1 Run Ended, Backstreet Falls Down The Chart

Contributed Anonymously:

After three weeks of ruling record sales, Coldplay have been overthrown, and it took a honky-tonkin’ American - country legend George Strait - to end the British band’s reign over the albums chart. ‘Somewhere Down in Texas’, Strait’s newest offering, claims the chart’s #1 spot, moving close to 245,000 copies its first week out. Mariah Carey’s ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ with more than 130,000 copies snapped up this week - enough to secure Billboard’s #4 spot. The continue to lose their sales dropping from #7 to #15 with over 51,000 scans of their new album ‘Never Gone’. Read more.

It’s just growing pains for my fellas. PPL are seem afraid in America to accept my guys back…lol ….well they have had to claw their way to the top before so this is nothing new for them its just sad that they have to do it in their home country. Well the rest of the world knows their value, America will come around eventually….lol… typical.

Actually why are they seen as failing when they are still selling. Wow it really seems that the industry is so against them…wow…

THEY’VE BEEN OUT LESS THAN A MONTH HIL, GIVE THEM A CHANCE

Haha. I knew this was coming. There is someone that keeps sending in articles that they think make the BSB look bad. MusicMan, are ya going to stop that anytime soon? Anyway, if the BSB would have released their album this week or last week, they would have been number one. They have sold 420, 535 albums in three weeks in the United States alone. Not bad. They are selling well in many other countries too. I can guarantee the guys aren’t too worried about it. They know people still care.

  6. galleta says:

wow SMILE where do you get your info. I haven’t read that yet anywhere?

TO WHOM ARE YOU FUNNY SWEETIE….LOL…SORRY BUT I’M NOT GOING TO CALL YOU HATE SO’, ‘GET USED TO HIL, HILL OR HILARY….

I found out when someone from…’, ‘a big BSB message board posted the numbers from billboard. Plus it’s not hard to add up the last three weeks numbers. If you want, I can send you a private message and give you the link to the message board.

It’s written in the stars that 2005 is Mariah’s year. Who the hell cares for Cold Play, Foo Fighters, George Strait and all the others? They come, debut high and fall down. It’s Mimi’s Emancipation that is truly rocking. And that’s only with two singles out. U Rock Mariah. If there’s one female singer who’s gonna make Mimi share the spotlight this year, its gonna be another high octave diva! This fall, people!

The Backstreet Boys are officially the Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, and NKOTB of our generation. They’re boring, unappealing to obviously a great number of people, and should have never attempted to have a comeback when their only notoriety to fame was appealing to zit faced bubble gum teeny boppers for a couple years. They’re has beens, and the only fans they have left come across as deeply disturbed indivduals who can’t let go of the past.
