Elysa Gardner Comments On Boyband Comeback Hopes
March 4, 2004 - USA Today music critic Elysa Gardner took part in an online chat with readers on Tuesday, and was asked her opinion about the hopes for the Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC to find success after extended breaks, or whether their time is up. “That’s the question we’ve been asking forever, isn’t it,” she asked. “I don’t know; with *NSYNC’s most prominent members, [Justin Timberlake] and [JC Chasez], getting recognized as mature solo artists, I don’t know that *NSYNC will be able to do their thing full force. As for Backstreet, people were writing their obituary two years ago, so who knows?” Check out the entire transcript here.
Big surprise. Josh is such a sweet guy. Justin is such a piece of crap. lol Schizophrenic is SO much better and artistically relevant than Justified. Justin used recycled Neptunes beats and overplayed Timbaland crap. Josh used FRESH music…all written by him. Surprise surprise though…people bought the “cute” members album and not the “talented” members.
LOL, for one thing, Justin was NOT the best pop artist of 2003…in fact, in my opinion, he was the WORST. He only got successful because of all the worthless hype surrounding him. In my opinion, the best pop artist of 2003 was Clay Aiken. But isn’t it funny how, even after all the N Sync diss Justin did, JC still praises him? C’mon, JC. No need to kiss Justin’s ass…just tell everyone what Justin’s REALLY like!
This is why JC’s been hanging with Nick Carter…My thoughts are that JC is just trying to keep things looking ok, even though they are not…Where has Justin been…supporting JC…I do not think so. I think Nick has become a more understanding friend to him.
J.C., your album won’t reach the success of Justin’s, and that’s unfortunate. I’m not a fan of JC but I do love his song “some Girls”. I don’t really like his album (not my style and I don’t really like his voice), but he is much more talented and down-to-Earth than Justin.
Exactly…I just think JC has realized Nick is a great guy, if he did not know this already…I’d say I have seen pics. of them together on several occasions in the past few months!!!In one they had their arms around each other…Wouldn’t I have liked to get in the middle of that one;)
