Kim Wild About Kylie, Disappointed By Britney

’80s pop star Kim Wilde has spoken out about today’s pop divas, expressing disappointment with Britney Spears but lavishing praise on Kylie Minogue. “Britney I’ve always been very disappointed by,” she said. “I mean, she has never really delivered. She seems to be an amazing performer, but it kind of stops there. She’s a long, long, long, long way from being anything like Madonna, which she clearly aspires to be.” But with Kylie, Wilde gushed, “I’ve always been a big Kylie fan.”

Kurtis Mantronik Talks Producing For Kylie

November 9, 2003 - Kurtis Mantronik tells The Herald Sun he wanted to show another side to Kylie Minogue on her new album ‘Body Language’, delivering the Aussie ‘Promises’ and ‘Obsession’, which are perhaps the most revealing songs of Kylie’s career. “I wanted to take Kylie a little deeper and create something a little more intense,” the producer said. “Her last album was great, but I wanted to make this one more full-on.” Mantronik declined an offer from Kylie to produce the entire ‘Body Language’ album. “It was a great honor for me,” he said. “But she is such a huge star. I didn’t want to take responsibility.”

Very well put. She has a LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG way to go if she wants to be taken as a serious artist/decent human being….she should stop fooling herself now.

Yeah that’s true.. I mean Britney has been very successful in the past 5 years, but she has never gone through any new real artistic change as the artist she ought to be if she really wants to be taken seriously, and yet hasn’t shown us what she can actually do.

Britney has no artistic integrity and never evolves - her songs and image have stayed exactly the same. I’m starting to hear so many reviews say that Britney hasn’t been able to shock because she never changes. So very true.

Well that’s good to hear. I’m not disappointed by Britney. She’s done what she wanted, produce good music for us fans to be happy and to have fun.. See it’s pretty funny coming from a Kylie fan though. Kylie never changes either. She’s been the same since she started.. well she was innocent back then and turned into a big slut.

Kylie does change her music styles up. She goes from pop to very experimental type music then when then doesn’t sell she goes back to doing pop. Britney did branch out on her new album but it’s nothing new or that people haven’t heard before. She experimented just enough to keep her fans that are growing up. Even though Britney does talk about sex on ‘In the Zone’ it does remain kind of immature. Kylie’s music is very sexy especially her new song ‘Slow’. This is something Britney is trying for but hasn’t been able to achieve. The only real sexy song of Britney’s is ‘Slave for U’. Also by far the best thing she’s done.

Kim Wild is a fat old cow who couldn’t sell albums if she handed them for out for free. Who cares about her dammed opinion. She should shut up and work on her own career.

I feel bad for Britney Spears because 50 cent and Jay-Z are releasing their albums the same day. 50 and Jay-Z are including golden tickets in their CD’s, jay is giving out 4 Mercedes and 50 is giving jewelry worth up to 250,000. I mean you know everyone want to buy their CD’s because they think maybe they might win something. I personally don’t think she will debut at number 1.
