People’s Caplan Discusses ‘Britney’s Mental Illness’ Cover Story
Britney Spears’ parents are furious with Dr. Phil McGraw for making public statements about visiting the singer last week. MSNBC’s Amy Robach talked with People magazine’s David Caplan about the developments, including the mag’s cover story “Britney’s Mental Illness.”
“Friends of Britney Spears are telling People that Britney has been diagnosed with a mental disorder,” Caplan said. “And that mental illness is bipolar disorder. And in fact other sources tell People she’s actually prescribed anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication.”
As for Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline, who has been laying low through most of this drama, Kaplan said, “He’s at his home in Tarzana, California, and he’s with his two sons Sean Preston and Jayden. He’s remained very low key. Sources tell People he’s really made his inner circle smaller with his friends, he’s even turned off his cell phone, his lawyer told us. He’s just hanging out at home watching football with his sons. So, really good bonding.” Watch the segment, aired Thursday (January 10), below the fold.
