Alex Band Misses His Cats While Touring

Alex Band amongst moving lightbulbs

Hollywood Dame spoke with Alex Band in a Q&A, asking the singer what he misses most while on the road besides family and friends. “My cat. Or, well, I have two cats now, so my cats,” the former singer of The Calling said. “Just the comfort of home, especially when I keep going to Europe. I think in this year I have traveled 150,000 miles, been around the world about 4 times. I miss the places I eat, the drinks I know, just the things you take for granted. The simple things like going to bed and waking up the same time, which is hard with the constant changing of time zones.” The entire interview at hollywooddame.com has since been removed.

Alex Band Excited To Release His Long Overdue Solo Album In 2009

Alex Band checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace (@alexbandmusic) on Monday (December 29). The former The Calling frontman tells readers:

Happy Holidays Everyone! I’m so excited for 2009, I know it finally will be the year my long overdue solo album will be released! I wanted to give you all a little treat for the Holiday, so here is one of the many songs that didn’t make it on the album called “Best Friends”. It’s just a home demo, Arms and I wrote it and recorded it together a while back. It’s still a favorite of ours, so who knows, maybe it will end up on the second album all done up nicely:) Anyway, lots to look forward to soon enough… I wish you all and your friends and family a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! See you in ’09! All the love…
