Blake Shelton talks about the competition while Christina Aguilera’s team took on ‘Lady Marmalade’. “To take the weaknesses and the criticism also, and take it with a grain of salt, and be professional enough to get up on the that stage,” Aguilera said about her team after the ‘Lady Marmalade’ performance.

‘The Voice’ contestant Raquel Castro spoke with the Associated Press about her and her mother’s reaction to having her idol Christina Aguilera select her to compete on the NBC reality singing show ‘The Voice’. “That was very nerve wracking,” Castro said about singing before the panel. “I was so nervous. Christina Aguilera Released After Drunk In Public Arrest

Christina Aguilera was released from jail Tuesday morning after being arrested for being drunk in public in West Hollywood at about 2:45 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities don’t plan to seek criminal charges against the 30-year-old pop singer. Aguilera’s boyfriend Matthew Rutler was driving when the couple were stopped. The 25-year-old was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and remains in jail on $30,000 bail.

National Anthem Went Better For Christina Aguilera During Rehearsals

Christina Aguilera actually nailed the National Anthem at Cowboys Stadium last week, unfortunately it was during rehearsals. TMZ obtained video of Christina’s Super Bowl rehearsal where she got the works correct during the portion she actually performed, wrapping up before finishing ‘The Star Spangled Banner’. Fergie Admits To Being Pitchy & Supports Christina Aguilera

Josh Duhamel called in to the Dan Patrick Show on Monday (February 7), talking about Sunday’s Super Bowl and his wife Fergie performing at halftime with the Black Eyed Peas. Fergie joined the call later and said she felt her performance was a little “pitchy”, admitting she was nervous as hell before the show. “It was so exhilarating,” Fergie said. “It was so big. It’s a once in a lifetime thing.”

As for Christina Aguilera messing up the National Anthem, Fergie said she did hear the performance and felt some sympathy. “She’s one of the best singers of our time, so nobody can take that away from her and she’s performed it at game 6 and game 7 of the Lakers (NBA Finals), so you get nervous at these things. Christina Aguilera Issues Statement After Super Bowl National Anthem Error

Christina Aguilera admitted to messing up the the National Anthem at the start of last night’s Super Bowl. “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of it’s anthem still came through,” the 30-year-old said in a statement issued afterward.

Aguilera was supposed to sing the line “O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming,” but ended up repeating an earlier line except with a slight variation including a word in the missed line. She sang “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming.” After ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ error, she did manage to finish it off correctly and the ending was in sync with the flyover.
