On December 21st, 2004 the Dorough Lupus Foundation hosted a “Christmas Evening with Howie in NYC.” Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough chatted with fans at his recent charity event and filled them in on the group’s plans for the new year. Millie858 from the Backstreet Boys forum at LiveDaily.com was in attendance that night. She says Howie asked a lot of them for their input in regards to the new album. She told them to make the first single a fast song, don’t release Poster Girl as a single, tour small arenas and not big stadiums, and do lots of promo. Howie then updated her and her friends on what’s going on with the group. He played clips of new songs from the album called Moving On, I Still, Beautiful Woman, and Siberia (which is about a broken heart). He also said they will release the first single at the end of January, put the album out in March, and tour in the summer. Also in January, they’ll do a big photo shoot, so expect lots of new pictures.

Howie Dorough Psyched To Go On Tour

JoJo Wright of KIIS FM had Backstreet Boys star Howie Dorough in the studio on September 9th, where he talked about the band gearing up to hit the road. “Yeah… I literally just came from rehearsals and we actually had our first run through with clothing, costumes everything,” he said. “I’m really psyched about it. Everybody’s looking back in shape, we went from Fat Street back to Backstreet, we all went down to one chin. We’re back in shape again, thank God. Everybody’s feeling good. We’re all mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually we’re all there tight together as a group.”

According to People.com, the BMG Grammy after-party allowed celebrities in attendance the chance of winning a bright red 2004 Chrysler Crossfire by trying to pick the engine-starting key from a fishbowl. When Paris Hilton was offered a shot at it, she turned to boyfriend Nick Carter and shrugged, “Oh sure, let’s do it. I don’t even care. What is it - a Chrysler?” Eventually the car went to Backstreet Boys star Howie Dorough. Bandmate Kevin Richardson, who picked a losing key, told People: “Howie is the luckiest man alive. He wins at the Kentucky Derby. He wins in Vegas. He wins in real estate. God bless him.” A humble Howie conceded, “I just turned 30. This is a good start to what will hopefully be a great year.”
