Paulina Rubio checked in with her Twitter followers (@paurubio) earlier this evening to confirm she’ll be taking the place of Britney Spears on ‘The X Factor’. The Mexican pop artist will join Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and Kelly Rowland. Rubio writes:

Yes! the rumors are true, I’m officially a judge on @thexfactorusa! So excited to be working with @simoncowell @ddlovato & @kellyrowland let the Fiesta begin!

Paulina Rubio was interviewed today by Ryan Seacrest for KIIS FM in Los Angeles while promoting her Spanish album ‘Ananda’. Her hit ‘Ni Una Sola Palabra’ was played and Paulina explained the song to him. Ryan told his listeners, “Paulina wrote the song for me” and told her “I want to make out with you!” Ryan was flirting non-stop with the Queen of Latin Pop, as he named her. Seacrest also made a comment about Britney Spears’ divorce and Paulina cheered for Britney saying, “Woooooooo, go Britney! I think she’s adorable and she’s a true princess!!” Paulina also talked about plans for her new English album next year and her new world tour that starts in December.

Paulina Rubio Performing With J.Lo At La Raza Event

Paulina Rubio tells Quepasa she’s singing along with Jennifer Lopez during the next Alma Awards ceremony organized by the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) awarding the most outstanding Latins in entertainment. “I am going to perform with Jennifer Lopez and I’ll be next to Carmen Electra and Eva Longoria,” she said. The ceremony will be held next May 7th, but will be broadcast on June 5th on ABC.

When it comes to houses, money is no object for Simon so he hasn’t batted an eyelid at spending an extra £3million knocking the place down and rebuilding from scratch. He has certain ideas on what he wants it to look like… and J.Lo’s minimalist approach wasn’t it.”
