Westlife Forced To Scrap New Video
News of the World reports boy band Westlife has been forced to scrap their new video for the single Queen Of My Heart. As we reported earlier, the group had been shooting the video in New York when the terrorist attacks hit the city on September 11.
The video featured violent explosions and showers of debris as the band takes part in a stock car race.
Band member Kian told Rav, “There is no way we could show that video now, in light of what happened in America. So we decided to scrap it and have now gone back to the drawing board to try to think of another idea. We hope to start shooting the new video next week.”
The group is still wanting to crack the U.S. market after selling 7 million copies of their last album, but few in America.
Westlife Wants To Crack The U.S.
MTVasia.com reports Westlife are considering another run into the United States to try and break into the already weakening boy band market.
Band-member Kian Egan sounded confident though saying, “There’s been lots of stuff written saying Westlife can’t break America, but Westlife haven’t had time to break America.”
Westlife Management Forces Vengaboys To Revise Video
The management of Irish boy band Westlife has ordered the Vengaboys to edit the video for their most recent single, Forever as One. The clip’s original version features a short scene in which the members of both bands greet each other, much to the disapproval of the management of the Irish heartbreakers.
