Unfair Judgement of Female Pop Acts

Ok, I’ve been reading a lot of comments that are posted about female pop stars like Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera. I find it completely disgusting that these girls are supposedly such horrific role models. True, they aren’t angels, but they definitely aren’t the worst people in the music industry. I’m no Britney fan, but I don’t think it’s fair that she or Christina are being degraded by people saying they are unfit role models. These girls are 22 and 23, respectively and their music isn’t geared toward pre-pubescent 10 and 11 year olds.
How in a year that saw us praising a rapper that was shot 9 times, giving praise to a guy that made a song dissing his ex for popularity dare say that Christina and Britney are the pollutants of our generation. I’m a 16 year old guy and I think this whole idea is something straight out of the ’50’s trying to keep women beneath men which is BS.
Anyway, I really agree with Britney and Christina when they say that the rearing of child is solely the parents responsibility, if the parents raise their children the way they think is fit then they shouldn’t have a problem. I personally think what Christina is doing is a good thing for young girls. Because for so long it’s like we’ve been programmed to think a certain way when it comes to female sexuality, and that she is trying to break that barrier is something she should be exalted for her Dirrty image was very evanescent and shouldn’t be seen as a negative thing. Both girls are setting us up for another female empowerment movement that I support.
