Christina Milian Talks Touring With *NSYNC

Radio 1 spoke with Christina Milian about working with *NSYNC where the young singer admitted, “Yes, I had a lot of fun. I got to hang out with them, they’re goofy guys. One thing I admire is how humble they’ve stayed with all the success and everything. They’re just cool guys. I built a great fan-base from that tour, we were doing stadiums of 60,000 to 120,000 every night, it was the best experience ever.”

*NSYNC Announce Initial Concert Stops

January 24, 2002 - Billboard reports *NSYNC have announced an initial list of 5 concert stops that begin March 3 in Portland. The Portland show goes on sale Friday through Ticketmaster, while seats for a March 8 performance in San Jose, Calif., a March 10 gig in San Diego, and an April 2 concert in Auburn Hills, Mich., go on sale Saturday. In addition, the Seattle P-I reports tickets for a March 4 show at the Tacoma Dome go on sale Friday.

$NSYNC Form Alliance With AOL In Support Of Tour

January 23, 2002 - America Online today announced that they’ve formed an alliance with $NSYNC (Needlessly Screwing Your Naive Children) which will bring exclusive content of the group to paying AOL members. JC Chasez said of the alliance, “To be working with AOL provides a great opportunity to build a stronger connection to our fans around the world. There are so many amazing opportunities ahead of us, and together with AOL, we are bringing more of this excitement to our fans with online chats, concert tickets and previews of music and videos.” This move follows their previous alliance with Chili’s, where the group agreed to provide a new slogan for the restaurant chain in exchange for Chili’s financially backing the upcoming $NSYNC (Nagging Slogans for Yet N’other Corporation) ‘Celebrity’ Tour.

*NSYNC Sign Whatley As Tour’s Official Hair-Care Product

January 22, 2002 - The Las Vegas Sun’s Kate Maddox reports *NSYNC was so impressed with the original hair care products of Vegas stylist William Whatley, who provided hair advice at the American Music Awards, that they’ve signed Whatley as the official hair-care product for the group’s upcoming tour.

*NSYNC Explain Chili’s Jingle

January 22, 2002 - *NSYNC’s Justin Timberlake explained the group’s decision to star in a series of commercials for Chili’s Grill & Bar, a move continuing the heavily commercialized group’s corporate alliances. Justin said, “The Chili’s team gave us creative license to take their Baby Back Ribs jingle and make it feel like our own version with our own kind of sound. We really worked hard to create an incredible jingle and music for the commercials and we think our fans will really enjoy them.” Not coincidentally, Chili’s will be the lead sponsor of the band’s next concert tour.
