Corbin Bleu Discusses ‘In the Heights’, Possible New Music

Corbin Bleu visited WPIX 11 in New York City to discuss his Broadway debut, being part of the cast of ‘In the Heights’. The ‘High School Musical’ star talked about his role as Usnavi, how he landed the spot, how the cast treated him as the new guy, and if there’s plans to release any new music in the future. “At the moment, no,” Corbin said of the latter topic. “Right now my focus is definitely the show. Possibly in the future, we’ll see.” Corbin also wants to open a restaurant. Watch the interview below.

Corbin Bleu Performs Michael Jackson Tribute On Disney Cruise

Twist was on board the Disney Wonder cruise ship with Corbin Bleu. During a concert on the ship’s ninth deck, the ‘High School Musical’ star performed touching tribute to one of his biggest musical inspirations, Michael Jackson. The 3-song set included ‘Human Nature’, ‘Man In The Mirror’ and ‘Heal The World’. “I just wanted to give a little celebration,” the 20-year-old said. “Celebrate his music and show how much everybody loved him, because everybody in the audience, parents, kids were singing singing the songs. Miley Cyrus Is Loving Corbin Bleu’s Shorter ‘Do

Twist magazine captured Miley Cyrus on the orange carpet at the Nickelodeon 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards held on Saturday (March 28), where the ‘Hannah Montana’ star bumped into Corbin Bleu. The 16-year-old told the ‘High School Musical’ star: “Oh my gosh, your hair’s so short. I like it so much better. It looks so good. Mom! Look at his hair! Corbin Bleu Loves Touring The Midwest

Webisode 4 of Pepsi Smash’s ‘Being’ featuring Corbin Bleu features the pop singer jumping on the tour bus for some shows, offering a tour of the inside. Corbin’s first stop was in Janesville, Wisconsin, prompting the ‘High School Musical’ star to talk about how he loves performing in midwestern areas. “Because they’re in a lot more rural areas, It’s not like they have concerts all the time, so when you come here, the excitement level is so hyped. The audiences are so loud, they’re just up on their feet and they’re cheering. And just the vibe of midwestern families, it’s just very welcoming.” Corbin and the crew also went to an amusement park in the clip.

Corbin Bleu Discusses ‘Speed Of Light’ On ‘Today’

The ‘Today’ show hosts talked to Corbin Bleu about ‘Speed of Light’, the ‘High School Musical’ star’s second solo CD. Corbin said while it was great to be a part of the hit Disney musical franchise, but now it’s nice to have a change of pace on his music career. Corbin said the album was a real collaborative effort. “I got a chance to really be involved in the studio writing tracks and lyrics, everything. It’s a lot more personal experience and the album itself is a combination of different sounds, electronic, R&B, pop and it’s definitely something you can play loud in the club.” Watch the brief interview, aired Thursday (March 12), below.
