‘Entertainment Tonight’ joined David Cook at the taping of his AOL Music Sessions in New York City on Wednesday night (October 29), asking the ‘American Idol’ season seven champ for his reaction to the shooting deaths of ‘Idol’ alum Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew. “My heart goes out to her,” David said. “I just earnestly hope that she could find some sort of resolution to it somewhere down the line.” Cook also talked being excited for his debut album, loving Halloween, and being honored to perform this weekend on ‘Saturday Night Live’. It’s very humbling.”

David Cook Discusses ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ And Debut Album

David Cook was on the phone with ‘On Air with Ryan Seacrest’ to talk about last week’s ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ show that was on ABC, NBC and CBS. The ‘American Idol’ season seven winner also talked about what fans can expect on his debut album, which he says is targeted for a November 18th release. “It will be a rock record,” Cook said. “Really what myself and everybody associated with the record is trying to do is just make it interesting. Try to put out something that’s gonna be able to stand up long after I’m gone, and that’s really been the goal.” Cook then talked about working with Skechers, following the post ‘Idol’ footsteps of Carrie Underwood.

‘American Idol’ season seven winner David Cook was videotaped signing autographs for fans outside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on Monday (August 25) for the latest stop on the American Idols Live 2008 Tour. The singer, who had normally been sporting a Kansas City Chiefs baseball cap, wore a cowboy hat for the Dallas fans instead.

David Cook: Going Back Home Was A Bit Of A Trip

Kansas City’s FOX 4 spoke to ‘American Idol’ season seven winner David Cook during the American Idols Live Tour 2008 stop in St. Louis, Missouri. Cook talked about being able to make it back to Tulsa and the Kansas City area after winning the FOX hit. “It was a bit of a trip. People there seemed shocked to see me,” Cook said. “It’s still very odd because, I mean, I don’t feel any different. Maybe I’ve got a few more numbers in the bank account, but that’s about it. July 22, 2008 - Footage of ‘American Idol’ season seven winner David Cook signing autographs for fans outside Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois before the American Idols Live Tour 2008 stop on Saturday (July 19) has been posted online.

Cook sported a Kansas City Chiefs baseball cap and at one point asked the crowding fans shoving paper in his face to sign to back up a little. The clip ended with several fans chanting “Archuleta”, wanting to see ‘Idol’ runner-up David Archuleta.

David Cook Teams Up With Raine Maida On Debut Album

‘American Idol’ season seven winner David Cook spoke with the Canadian Press about working with Our Lady Peace singer Raine Maida after requesting a meeting with the Canadian singer songwriter when he began work on his solo debut. “The songs that we wrote were, in my opinion, some of the strongest that we’ve done for this record,” Cook said by phone from a recent tour stop in Detroit. “I’m very pleased with how it turned out and I’m actually hoping to get together with him again before the record gets released and try to write some more.”

David Cook: My Brother Adam’s Brain Tumor Has Stopped Growing

David Cook has been quiet about his brother Adam’s struggle with a brain tumor, but during the kick-off to the American Idols Live Tour in Glendale, Arizona on Tuesday night, the ‘Idol’ champ told the cheering crowd some encouraging news.

“I gotta tell you guys just because I’m so stoked, I gotta tell somebody,” Cook said. “I got great news today, my brother’s tumor has stopped growing!” Cook then dedicated the Foo Fighters’ ‘My Hero’ to his brother.
