Kelly Clarkson ‘Mr. Know It All’ Video Behind The Scenes

Kelly Clarkson - Mr. Know It All (Making The Video)

Kelly Clarkson is out with behind the scenes footage from her new ‘Mr. Know It All’ music video. The song is off the ‘American Idol’ season one winner’s fifth studio album ‘Stronger’, out October 24th on RCA Records.

“The idea behind the video is about variety,” Clarkson said about the video that was shot last month in Nashville and was directed by Justin Francis. “The whole point about this song that I like is you don’t know a thing about me. I love that concept because it’s ignorant to think you know everything about a person. There’s many different sides to everybody’s personality and there’s different colors to personalities, so we’re doing a variety of different Kellys.”

Kelly Clarkson Fires Back At Scott Borchetta ‘Idol’ Diss

Kelly Clarkson reacted to comments by Taylor Swift’s label boss Scott Borchetta following a Grammy performance with Stevie Nicks that many have been critical of on her blog at WordPress on Thursday (February 4). The ‘American Idol’ season one winner wasn’t happy with this remark:

This is not ‘American Idol.’ This is not a competition of getting up and seeing who can sing the highest note. This is about a true artist and writer and communicator. It’s not about that technically perfect performance.

Clarkson responds:

Wow… Dear Scott Borchetta,

I understand defending your artist obviously because I have done the same in the past for artists I like, including Taylor, so you might see why its upsetting to read you attacking ‘American Idol’ for producing simply vocalists that hit ‘the high notes’. Thank you for that ‘Captain Obvious’ sense of humor because you know what, we not only hit the high notes, you forgot to mention we generally hit the ‘right’ notes as well. Every artist has a bad performance or two and that is understandable, but throwing blame will not make the situation at hand any better. I have been criticized left and right for having shaky performances before (and they were shaky) and what my manager or label executives say to me and the public is “I’ll kick butt next time” or “every performance isn’t going to be perfect” … I bring this up because you should take a lesson from these people and instead of lashing out at other artists (that in your ‘humble’ opinion lack true artistry), you should simply take a breath and realize that sometimes things won’t go according to plan or work out and that’s okay.

Sincerely,

One of those contestants from American Idol who only made it because of her high notes

Kelly Clarkson Has No Idea What New Album Will Sound Like

Kelly Clarkson spoke with Billboard about the range of styles fans can expect on the ‘American Idol’ season one champ’s upcoming album.

“We have several songs already penned for the next album,” Clarkson said. “I actually just was e-mailing a couple of writers and producers that I’m working with for the next album, and they’re everywhere, there’s everything from beats to more singer-songwriter country stuff to major pop stuff so it’s all over the place right now. I have no idea what it’s going to sound like.”

Kelly Clarkson’s Open Letter To Kanye West

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson issued an open letter to Kanye West on her blog after the rapper stormed the stage at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards in New York City to protest Taylor Swift winning the Best Female Video award. The ‘American Idol’ season one winner writes:

Dear Kanye,

What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like sh**. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty sh**ty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you… which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??

I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her… so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an asshole… I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.

On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!

Taylor Swift, you outsell him … that’s why he’s bitter. You know I love your work! Keep it up girl!

KC :)

Self Magazine Editor On Digitally Slimming Kelly Clarkson

Self magazine editor-in-chief Lucy Danziger is reacting to the online buzz about their September issue cover with Kelly Clarkson, admitting the ‘American Idol’ season one winner was digitally slimmed in the image.

“She is, like her music, giving and strong and confident and full of gusto,” Lucy writes at Self.com. “Did we alter her appearance? Only to make her look her personal best. Did we publish an act of fiction? No. Not unless you think all photos are that. But in the sense that Kelly is the picture of confidence, and she truly is, then I think this photo is the truest we have ever put out there on the newsstand. I love her spirit and her music and her personality that comes through in our interview in SELF. She is happy in her own skin, and she is confident in her music, her writing, her singing, her performing.”

Behind the scenes footage from the magazine’s photo shoot and the full article have since been removed at Self.com.
