Paolo Nutini has just been confirmed as the closing headliner at RockNess 2011. The Scottish singer songwriter tops the bill on the main stage on Sunday June 12th. RockNess festival director Jim King explained why Paolo was chosen to headline this major event, stating, “Paolo has proven across his two albums that he is the best act of his generation to come out of Scotland and he is already on his way to becoming one of the very best acts in the world.” RockNess 2011 takes place June 10-12 against the iconic backdrop of the world famous Loch Ness in Scotland.

Paolo Nutini Doesn’t Get Celebs Who Actively Tweet
Perhaps Miley Cyrus read Paolo Nutini’s comments to The Sun about Twitter to convince her to delete her account. The Scottish singer songwriter doesn’t get celebrities who constantly post updates on the micro blogging site. “I don’t really get it. I do have an account but it’s not always me updating it,” Nutini said. “Why would I like to be just writing random sentences all say? I don’t think: ‘Oooh I am going to tell everyone I know that I just woke up.’ I don’t care if the fans know that because I’d rather they know I’m concentrating on my music. Plus I don’t have the time.”

Paolo Nutini is out with behind the scenes footage from the set of his video for ‘Coming Up Easy’. Follow the Scottish singer songwriter and his co-star Harvey the Rabbit as they wander the streets and bars together searching for the meaning of life.
“This isn’t the weirdest thing either of us have done, so what does that say about us,” Paolo joked while in a bar with Harvey.

Paolo Nutini ‘Candy’ Video Behind The Scenes
Paolo Nutini is out with behind the scenes footage from the making of his ‘Candy’ music promo. The clip features the Scottish singer songwriter on set in Cuba as he shot the video, soaking up the glorious scenes and serenading the locals with his acoustic guitar.
The video has since been removed.
Paolo Nutini & Serena Ryder Backstage At KXLY
Before the show in Spokane with Paolo Nutini, Serena Ryder and Paolo were invited to the KXLY radio station to play a few songs and meet some fans. Look out for the upcoming footage of that show as well as an artist-on-artist interview with Serena Ryder and Paolo Nutini.
A clip from backstage briefly showed Paolo on guitar before Serena joked that he didn’t want to be on film because he was having a bad hair day.
After talking about their breakfast, Ryder signed off with a ‘Mork & Mindy’ “Na-Nu Na-Nu”.

Paolo Nutini took part in a PSA for the UNHCR campaign ‘Gimme Shelter’, covering The Rolling Stones hit as the ad highlights the effects of the conflict in eastern Congo, which has led to the death of 1,000 people a day and forcing more than 250,000 people, many of them already displaced, to flee their homes.
