2009 is going to be a busy year for me. I will be off to the States in January where I will be writing for my next album which I hope to be recording by the end of 2009. Then its over to London after that where I will be catching up with the organizers of The War of the Worlds and doing single and album promotion for Sony Music. I am going to be part of the War of the Worlds production which will be touring around the UK and Europe during June and July of 2009. While I am in London I have a gig booked at the Borderline on the 3rd of March which I am really looking forward to. I will be releasing the single SHINE in the UK and the album “What Matters The Most” comes out in the UK on May 4. Then it’s back home after London and doing a bit more touring in Queensland and Victoria in March and April before I head off back to the UK for the War of the Worlds tour. I’m looking forward to some time off with my family over Christmas and the new year before heading off to the States in January.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know about my new band. We’ve already begun rehearsals together and it’s sounding great, I’m just stoked.

On bass is Matty Cornell, who some of you might remember from the band over the last year or so? He’s our new Musical Director, he takes care of business!. On guitars are Chris Collins and Luke Dixon. On keys is Michael Barbera, and on drums the happiest man in music, Emilio Panetta.

Now I’m just itching to get out and play some live shows!!!

You’ll be able to see the band when we do some TV performances over the next month and if you’re in Brisbane, we’re playing live at the Beneath The Stars Concert on 13th October, the gig put together by James Hempenstall to raise money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Later!

Shannon.

It kicks off in Perth on 8th September. As my TV performances get closer I’ll drop you a note or make sure we post it on the website so you know where I’ll be. If you’re in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne you hear me on the Jonathan Coleman Experience on 4KQ/WSFM/GOLD FM next Tuesday 28th from 1pm talking about The War Of The Worlds.

Hey, we might also do a couple of single in-stores, we’re just working out where and when at the moment.

I’ve just signed off on my album artwork and packaging so that goes into production now. We’re also about to add a whole new bunch of t-shirt designs to the merchandise part of the website.

Its all happening, it’s crazy! I’m off to do more interviews…

Cheers!
