Tyler Hilton Webcast

Tyler Hilton did a special live webcast on Wednesday (February 17). The singer songwriter discussed his ‘Cooking with Tyler’ episode he did for Valentine’s Day, how it’s not a good idea to raid your parent’s vodka bottle and replace what you drink with water, wanting fans to help sequence the songs on the new album, going on tour with The Spill Canvas, and more. He also put the acoustic guitar he had in his hands to use, performed some songs. Watch it via ustream.tv below.

Tyler Hilton Mastering The New Album

Tyler Hilton checked in with fans on his official web site’s blog on Tuesday (February 16), discussing the final stages of his new album, hanging out with Ashley Monroe and Michelle Branch, playing their first show of the year in Los Angeles tonight, and his Valentine’s Day edition of ‘Cooking with Tyler’. The singer songwriter tells readers:

This is kind of a crazy day. I’m in this beautiful mastering studio with Matt Serletic, Kevin Williamson (my A&R guy) and Steve Marcussen, who’s doing the mastering. What this means is we take all 11 songs on the record and make ’em sound like one record. I started this batch of tunes in the summer of ’08 and have been working on them up until yesterday. Literally. Wow. Making Say It Like a Lie and 16th Summer sound similar through your speakers is really what it is. So I’m listening to the final record over and over. A smile ear to ear on my face. I’ll talk about it more on the Ustream tomorrow.

Tyler Hilton Going On Tour With The Spill Canvas

Tyler Hilton checked in with fans on his official web site’s blog at TylerHilton.com on Friday (January 12) with details on his upcoming tour. The singer songwriter tells readers:

For those of you who haven’t already seen them, here is the list of cities confirmed for The Spill Canvas and me! We’re making quite the sweep in only a month! Of course there are a few areas we’re not hitting but this is only the first set of dates for the year. Hell, I’m gonna be out all year probably! Consider this a warm up for when I do get to your area. :) I met up with The Spill Canvas for dinner the other night while they were in town finishing up their new record. Funny guys. We’re gonna have a good time for sure. They’ve promised to make me a better pool player by the time we’re done. And who doesn’t like a singer/songwriter/pooler?

Michelle Branch, Ashley Monroe and myself hung a bunch this week singing and writing. Those are two talented ladies. I’m one lucky guy. If we end up recording anything killer I’ll post it. See you out on the road!

Tyler Hilton: I Love Being At Sundance With New Music

Tyler Hilton updated fans on his official web site on Tuesday (January 26), discussing how things went at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The singer songwriter tells readers:

Writing from somewhere over Arizona on my way back to California from Sundance ’10! It was a packed trip, let me tell ya. Played 5 shows or so. Ran into tons of friends, ate some great food and…I’m not gonna lie, I got some really cool swag. Probably the highlight of the trip was unexpectedly running into my old roommates from Nashville, Lady Antebellum - whose new album Need You Now came out today. I haven’t seen these guys in forever! They played a great acoustic set at the ASCAP cafe and afterward we caught up and celebrated. Super fun.

Tyler Hilton Thanks Fans For Attending Notre Dame Show

Tyler Hilton thanked fans on his official web site blog on Wednesday (January 20) for sticking by him while there’s been a significant break in between projects, evident by the 500 people who attending his show last weekend. Hilton writes:

I want to dedicate this BLOG (which I now know is short for web log, thanks to my very resourceful twitter followers) to the 500 or so kids who came out to sing and cheer along at my show in South Bend Indiana at the Univ. of Notre Dame this last weekend!

My fans are folks that have been with me a long time. I know this because it’s been a very long time since I was in magazines, on TV, on the radio, in movies, on tour…blah, blah, blah. I have not given much at all to you the last several years. Sure, I’ve blogged, shot little videos, put out a small EP but let’s be honest, these are mere promissory notes that something bigger and more meaty is yet to come.

Tyler Hilton Album Update & Tour Plans

Tyler Hilton checked in with fans on his official web site blog at tylerhilton.com earlier today with news on his new album and plans to hit the road beginning in March. The actor/singer songwriter tells readers:

Woo… busy week back from the holidays. You guys feeling that? It’s funny ’cause I have all these ideas about how I’m gonna run things this year and it all goes out the window as things get busier and busier. Ha! Oh well… It’s a good lesson for life. Always roll with the punches. And how nice to be so busy! There are no set hours here in the world of entertainment so busy is good. Here’s a run down of some things I did this week that might interest you guys:

1) Mastered the album version of “Keep On” and “I’d Rather Be Lonely” to put up on the website in the next month. That’ll be the first taste of the record I’ll have been able to get you! Yea! I told you I was making a record! In your face to all my nay sayers…

2) Finished final mixes of “16th Summer,” “Sunset Blvd,” “This World Will Turn Your Way” and “So Young” yesterday. A very rare case of songs exceeding my expectations! We’ll probably be putting out a couple of these songs in the next few months as well.

3) Dusting off the band and taking a good look at getting back to your cities on a regular basis in March/April. I’m jamming with a few new people along with some of the familiar faces from the past. Gonna be a nice mix for the new band. Thanks for all your artist suggestions for touring! I’ll let you know what it’s gonna end up looking like as we get closer. You guys reminded me of a lot of people I didn’t think of. Good call. My agent’s checking on who’s around of those you suggested and we’ll see what we can work out.

So! There that is. I’ll see some of you in South Bend, IN on Sat (1/16) for an hour long acoustic set. Bring requests and let’s do some hanging. I got you, 2010, and I don’t buck easily! :)
