MTV Bored Us With ‘Lance In Space’ Talk In 2002

January 1, 2003 - Contributed by elgato1019_1:

I honestly think Suchin Pak and the rest of MTV News owe us an apology for boring us in 2002 with those stupid ‘Lance in Space’ stories. MTV News missed out on so many other stories by giving Lance Bass 50 news stories last year. Though, he couldn’t raise the $20 million to complete the trip. That doesn’t surprise me. Justin does all the writing for *NSYNC, so of course Lance doesn’t get a royalties check. Poor Lance. First, his movie ‘On the Line’ bombs as bad as Mariah Carey’s ‘Glitter.’ And now this disappointment. In my opinion, Lance should have only got 2 stories on MTV News. The headlines would have started out with ‘*NSYNC Back-up Singer Seeks Seat on Russian Space Rocket’ and finished with ‘Lance Fails.’ That should’ve been it. Instead, MTV tried to make it a big thing. MTV’s VJ’s and news people seem to have no lives. Now that their golden boy Lance is out of the news, MTV is trying to convince us that the ‘Justin/Britney’ saga is news-worthy. Shame on MTV.
