Deborah Gibson Isn’t Going Into Foreclosure, Rep Insists

Deborah Gibson’s rep David Salidor tells Usmagazine.com that reports suggesting the ’90s pop star’s home is in foreclosure are not true. “Much to the chagrin of media everywhere, Deborah is simply moving in with her boyfriend of the last year [doctor/documentarian Rutledge Taylor],” Salidor explained. “As we all know, [this] is the right time to sell… and, this was it for her.”

The “right time to sell” comment had The Real Estalker, who originally reported the news, howling, given the current economic crisis and crash of the housing market, particularly in California. “Hunny, have you read the papers or watched the news programs,” ‘Mama’ asks. “This is most definitely not the time to sell a house if you don’t have to and, quite frankly, it’s never, ever time to sell a house for less than you paid, you know?”

Deborah Gibson checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@officialdeborahgibson) on Saturday (December 27), commenting on the passing of Eartha Kitt, who died of colon cancer on Thursday at the age of 81. Gibson tells readers:

In memory of Eartha Kitt

I worked with her in ‘Cinderella’ for about 6 months - she was my fairy godmother. Eartha had more energy than all of us at 76 yrs old (that’s when I worked with her). She would get out of that carriage and extend her leg over her head while doing so! She would get all the ensemble boys up early for morning workouts and say in her famous purring voice ‘the early bird gets the worm!’ She was an amazing woman who was not afraid to speak her mind and went out singin’ and high kickin’!!! She will be missed terribly by all who knew her.

The pop singer, who currently is starring in the Rodgers and Hammerstein production ‘The King and I’, said she is “amazed by people who can’t see that somebody could be one way when they’re younger, then grow up and change their mind.
