Timberlake, Aguilera Launch Tour With Power And Soul

June 5, 2003 - Larry Rodgers and Laurel Miller of The Arizona Republic reviewed the ‘Justified and Stripped Tour’ in Phoenix on Wednesday (June 4). They say *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake “moved even more toward stripped-down, old-school soul in his 80-minute set, which kept the America West Arena crowd on its feet most of the time.” As for Christina Aguilera, they say, “The tiny, 22-year-old singer’s dazzling voice is her main calling card, and she had fans in awe several times during songs such as ‘Impossible’ (which she recorded with Alicia Keys), ‘Soar’ and a classy cover of Etta James’ ‘At Last’.” The full review at azcentral.com has since been removed.

Dream Is Back With A New Member

KriSeLen.com interviewed the revamped Dream, with new member Kasey Sheridan, who replaced Melissa Schuman after she quit the girl group. “I knew of Dream and I heard their three singles,” Kasey explained. “They are very talented girls and when I looked at them I thought that is something I really want to do. It never crossed my mind that I would actually be in Dream. I found out on TRL the day that Puffy was hosting that one of the girls left and that they were holding audition. For a split second I thought what if I was in Dream, but you know I thought it wasn’t possible..I didn’t think it would ever happen. I actually found a paper posted on the board at my dance studio and it said open audition for a major pop group signed on a major label and I knew it was Dream. I went to the audition and Holly was there, she was watching me and it was so nerve-racking. So yeah it I guess it is all history from there.”

Dream Announce New Fourth Member - Kasey Sheridan

Dream’s official fan site announced this week that the group has found a fourth member to replace Melissa, who departed the group earlier this year. Her name is Kasey Sheridan and she introduced herself to Dream fans saying, “Hey guys! I am so excited to be a new part of DREAM! I am fifteen years old. I feel that it is important for you to know that the girls and I have gotten a chance to form a really close bond, and that this descision was not one forced by anyone else, but the girls. I have nothing but the best interest for the girls and for DREAM. I don’t know of anyone other three girls I would rather share this Dream with (no pun intended!). I really hope that you can accept me, even though this is a huge change. You guys have truly been so awesome through supporting DREAM through their whole career, and through this rough time. DREAM has the best fans!”

Wade Robson’s JoJo Interview Highlights

Amongst the highlights from Wade Robson’s interview with KIIS FM’s JoJo that just wrapped up:
- He’s currently working on the new Dream album and helping with the auditions for Melissa’s replacement. He echoed Puffy’s comments saying there were no hard feelings, but the rest of the group is anxious over having someone new with them. Wade’s also producing 4 tracks on their upcoming album.
- He’s working with Backstreet Boys, but downplayed working with *NSYNC’s so-called ‘rival’, saying the rivalry is an invention of the media. He’s even working on O-Town’s new album
- He didn’t think he could help out Fat Joe much on dance moves.
- The dancers he admires the most are mostly dead, including Fred Astaire, though he had good things to say about Michael Jackson.
- Wade’s also trying to put together his own girl group.

Puffy Puts His Spin On Melissa’s Dream Departure

Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs was on MTV’s Total Request Live on Wednesday where he hosted and confirmed news that Melissa Schuman had departed from Dream to what he said was to pursue an acting career. Puffy seemed to point to her being older as a primary reason, but we know from Sunday’s news that Melissa’s father said “she has been very unhappy for quite some time about things that have transpired in the past and the way things were working out for the future”, and no doubt the turmoil that has had artists dropping from Puffy’s Bad Boy label like flies as it looks for a new home played a major factor as well. Besides, it was widely known that Melissa was the most popular member of the group, so Combs’ claim of a “minor change” difficult to justify. Read on for today’s TRL conversation between John Norris and P. Diddy.
