Keri Noble Excited About Her New Album ‘When It Don’t Come Easy’

Keri Noble checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@kerinobleartist) on Thursday (August 5), discussing her visit to Japan, losing her kitty Pepper, recording her third album, and preparing for a big CD release concert. The Minneapolis singer songwriter tells readers:

Now THIS is what I’m most excited about. ‘When It Don’t Come Easy’ is my 3rd U.S. studio release. I wrote 12 of the 13 songs. The title track is a song by Patty Griffin. You might wonder why I titled it after the one song I didn’t write. Well, it’s really the only reason to sing someone else’s music to begin with… they said it better than I could. Most of you know, I’m a crazy fan of Patty Griffin. It’s because of her voice, and melodies, yes… but, mostly, it’s the words. And that song sums up so much for me. It sums up the process. It sums up the collection of songs that I wrote. It says it all.

I produced this record. It took me 2 years. It’s not necessarily as “commercial” sounding as other things. It’s not engineered to be full of radio hits. It’s honest. It’s as close to a live performance, full of emotion and artistry from an arsenal of talented and gifted musicians. It tells stories… simply. And… I think that you’re gonna love it. Because, for the first time in my career… I love it.

It comes out September 21st. You can go to my website as that date approaches, and we’ll give you all the info on how you can get a copy.

Keri Noble Blogs From An Undisclosed Location

Keri Noble updated fans on her blog at MySpace (@kerinobleartist) on Wednesday (January 13), overseas at an undisclosed location to perform for the troops. The Minneapolis singer songwriter tells readers:

Hey everybody. Greetings from… oops. I can’t tell you where I’m writing from. That’s just one of many important things for us to remember while we’re here. It’s totally intense and completely incredible at the same time.

We left Minneapolis Sunday night, and after a short layover in Amsterdam, continued on to… “here”. 17 hours of travel=a very long day. But, by the time we landed, adrenaline had kicked in and we were ready to begin the adventure. Every airport is basically the same, you’ve got your McDonald’s, Starbucks and Pizza Huts. So, even though we were in a completely unfamiliar part of the world, it still felt pretty normal.

Keri Noble Blogs About Meeting Kelly Clarkson

Keri Noble talked about meeting Kelly Clarkson at Mystic Lake Casino the other night on her blog at MySpace (@kerinobleartist) on Saturday (May 16). Noble wrote a song off the ‘American Idol’ season one winner’s new album ‘All I Ever Wanted’, the last track on the record, ‘If No One Will Listen’. The Minneapolis singer songwriter tells readers:

First of all, she’s really bubbly, lots of energy… and it’s all wrapped up in this teeny-tiny person. She’s really little. She said that after she heard my song for the first time, she decided to Google me. She’d never heard of me before. Then she was like, “You’ve been everywhere! How did I not know?” We laughed and talked a little more.

It was pretty quick, but ended with her saying, “If you’ve got any other songs, I’d love to hear them, maybe for my next record.” I wanted to say, “OF COURSE I have more songs!!!”, but decided to try and contain myself for the moment. (no need to frighten her on our first meeting)

We said goodbye, and Laurie and I took our seats for her performance.

Can I just say… the girl can SING! She did 8 songs, all the hits, and rocked every one of them. She didn’t miss a note. And the whole time, she was jumping around, giving people a great show. I was so in awe of her voice.

Keri Noble Relishes Her Contribution To Kelly Clarkson’s New Album

Keri Noble checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@kerinobleartist) on Monday (March 16), talking about her current tour and picking up Kelly Clarkson’s new album ‘All I Ever Wanted’, which includes a song she wrote. The Minneapolis singer songwriter tells readers:

On our way to Vienna (Virginia), we stopped at Best Buy and picked up Kelly Clarkson’s new CD that came out that day. It was a surreal and incredible moment in my life that I will never forget. The last track on her record is called ‘If No One Will Listen’ and I wrote it. For the last year, there has been talk that this would happen, but I didn’t really believe it. Even up to a month before the CD came out, I was still told that it could change, so “don’t hold your breath”. Well, it’s real now. And she does a beautiful job of singing it.

After Laurie and I made a scene with the sales clerk who was ringing me up (lots of jumping around and screaming), we blasted it in the car and I felt like I was dreaming.
