A1’s Ben Adams Signs Solo Deal With BMG

The Sun reports former A1 star Ben Adams is set to launch a solo career, signing a six figure deal with BMG that will see him release new material later this year. “Ben has proved to be the exception to the rule,” BMG talent scout Paul Lisberg said. “He came from a boy band but writes all his own material. It’s extremely artistic.”

BBC Newsround reports A1 star Paul Marazzi has quit the band. Paul said, “After a lot of thought and deliberation I have made the difficult choice to leave the band due to personal reasons. I have had a brilliant five years with A1 and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been part of the whole A1 experience, everyone at Sony, but most of all our amazing fans. January 22, 2002 - Blue will be in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on January 30 and 31 to celebrate the Gold Award that they will receive from EMI Malaysia for getting more than 15,000 copies of sales in the first month of the release of their debut album All Rise. The guys will be interviewed by several radio stations in KL, including Hitz.FM for their Late Night Show, which will be simulcast live at 10 AM EST on January 30.

Top Of The Pops magazine spoke with a1’s Ben Adams and Christian Ingebrigtsen about who they’d most like to snuggle up to on a cold winter night. Ben said, “I’m about to get a dog so I think I’ll be snuggling up with that at Christmas! It’s a miniature long-haired Dachshund. The great thing about it is that you don’t have to walk it much because its legs are so short!” As for Christian, he explains, “I’d like to have a proper girlfriend to snuggle up to. Hopefully this Christmas I’ll have that. I’m always hoping and time is running out now!”

Smash Hits Denies Ben Adams Fix

Smash Hits responded to reports earlier this month from News of the World stating members of Westlife being furious that a1’s Ben Adams won the Most Fanciable Male award when it reportedly had already been promised to Westlife’s Shane Filan.
