Katy Perry and John Mayer are bound for marriage with the famous couple reportedly shopping for engagement rings. “They are definitely going to get engaged very soon,” someone close to Perry told Hollyscoop.

Talking about ring selection and the wedding game plan, the source added, “She wants a green diamond, since green is her favorite color. They want to have a small wedding, one of those you don’t hear about until it is all said and done. They live with each other now and are practically already husband and wife.”

As for Mayer having trouble holding a relationship with other famous female singers, Perry seems to thing this time is a charm. “Katy knows that John is her soul mate and everything she has been through has led her to him,” the source said. “John has said he will never love another woman like he loves her. She has redefined his definition of love.”

Grazia is reporting that John Mayer proposed to Katy Perry only to get a rejection from the ‘Roar’ singer. “John’s proposal really unnerved Katy. Even though they have discussed it, she thought it was too soon,” a source told the publication Grazia. “Katy loves John, but doesn’t feel she has had enough healing time since her divorce.” But a friend of the couple told GossipCop.com that John has not proposed to Katy.

According to Hollyscoop, John Mayer and Katy Perry are living together, and the couple have been discussing marriage. “Katy and John picked out her new home together. They picked it out for them to start a life together. They live there together,” a source close to the ‘Firework’ singer revealed.

Talking about the pair’s wedding prospects, the tipster added, “He has not proposed, but they have talked about getting married. My guess is they will be married but not with a big ceremony at all - she does not want that. Katy feels John is her soulmate and that he is the reason for her becoming who she is. I have never seen Katy so happy and I have known her for many years!”

Giada De Laurentiis Was Shocked About John Mayer Affair Rumor

Giada De Laurentiis opened up about rumors of a romance with John Mayer in a cover story for Redbook. “The John Mayer incident was completely unexpected,” the married Food Network star said. “I was shocked. And not so much for me, but for my husband and family… Todd was embarrassed that his family in Michigan would see it and think, What is going on over there in Hollywood?… What made it all even more surprising is that I haven’t had any contact with John Mayer in three years. You know how you’ll briefly get introduced to somebody? Maybe we chatted for five minutes, but I wouldn’t consider that intimate…. I think the only things that could have possibly have tied us together is that we were at the same hotel that weekend in question - which, by the way, my husband was with me there as well.”

John Mayer Has His Eye On Newly Single Eva Longoria

After announcing her split from NBA star Tony Parker, Eva Longoria is apparently getting pursued by Hollywood ladies man John Mayer. “John is crazy about Eva,” a friend of the singer songwriter tells PopEater. “There is something about newly-divorced ladies that drives him nuts. He was the same way over Jessica [Simpson] when she left Nick [Lachey], and now he has his eye on Eva.” But a friend of the ‘Desperate Housewives’ star tells Rob Shuter she “wants some alone time” and “is still heartbroken about her marriage falling apart.”

Giada De Laurentiis Slams John Mayer Affair Report

The Food Network’s ‘Everyday Italian’ host Giada De Laurentiis is slamming a report in Star magazine that claimed she and singer John Mayer had an affair. Giada has a two-year-old daughter with husband and Anthropologie designer Todd Thompson. The statement on her web site reads:

It is a shame a media outlet such as Star needs to rely on disgraceful lies and hide behind false anonymous “sources” in order to entertain their readers. When the Star reporter approached Giada De Laurentiis on Sunday, while she was co-hosting a children’s cancer fundraiser, Giada responded unequivocally that she did not see John Mayer when she was in New York for the Food and Wine Festival. Furthermore, contrary to the claims of an anonymous “source”, at no time did Giada step foot in the Gansevoort Hotel. Giada indeed met John Mayer briefly at a charity event in 2007 but has not seen him since. To be clear, they are not friends and cannot even go so far as to call John Mayer an acquaintance. There is not a sliver of truth to Star magazine’s story. It is unfortunate Star would publish these malicious untruths without reporting the fact that Giada was with her husband Todd that weekend in New York, along with their family and friends. Giada De Laurentiis and her family deserve an apology and we demand an immediate retraction.

Giada also wrote on her Facebook:

I’m heartbroken this morning to find out how MALICIOUS the tabloids can be… I’ve been linked to John Mayer in NY last month…. I haven’t seen him since 2007!!!!

“Overprivileged” John Mayer’s Malaria No More PSA

John Mayer talks about dealing with mosquitoesJohn Mayer and B.J. Novak team up in a public service announcement to fight to make Malaria No More.

“I’m such an over-privileged prick,” the singer songwriter says in the video, “that I get two mosquitoes in my apartment because I left the window open, and these mosquitoes are driving me crazy. Do you ever have mosquitoes that you can’t find in your house? That’s one fu**ing mosquitoes, and then you spend the rest of your day complaining to your friends over $6 coffee that a mosquito bit you. I couldn’t find the mosquito. That’s one mosquito in your $2 million apartment, John Mayer.”

John Mayer Dedicates Houston Concert To Micayla Patterson

John Mayer dedicated his show in Houston, Texas last night to Micayla Patterson hours after learning the news the 17-year-old had died when the truck she was riding in was hit near downtown Tulsa after attending Mayer’s concert.

“What I didn’t really expect or see coming as smart as I thought I was was what it was like to leave your show and pass away on the way home,” Mayer told the audience. “I just never saw that coming. I didn’t see what it was going to feel like to learn the news somebody left my concert and went home and on the way back home from the concert they had passed away. That’s news for me you know, and whatever that butterfly effect is and how I start thinking about that, you know that’s my show, so forgive me, I just didn’t see that coming. I never really thought that was gonna happen and so tonight we dedicate this show to a girl that was 17 named Micayla in Tulsa, Oklahoma who went home. All she did was go to a show and go home, so I feel really bad. I just feel bad. I guess what I want to say is just be safe and be happy and go be awesome.” Watch the dedication and performance of ‘Edge of Desire’ via YouTube below.

John Mayer Saddened By Young Concertgoer’s Death

John Mayer is reacting to news that 17-year-old Micayla Patterson died when the truck she was riding in was hit near downtown Tulsa after attending Mayer’s concert. John writes:

I’m sitting in my dressing room in Houston, having just read this terrible news. My heart and thoughts go out to Micayla’s family and her friends. This is just awful. Every night, over the course of two hours I come to care very deeply for every face in the crowd, and somewhere in that glance out over the audience for my final bow is the hope and the prayer that everyone gets home safely and carries out awesome, bright, beautiful lives. This won’t soon leave my mind, and tonight’s show is dedicated to Micayla’s memory as well as wishing for a quick recovery for the two other passengers injured.

I’m sending love tonight to everyone in Springdale.

With Deepest Sympathies,

John
