James Blunt ‘Moon Landing’ LP Out November 5th

James Blunt 2013

James Blunt will release his fourth studio album ‘Moon Landing’ in the U.S. on November 5th. The new album was produced by Tom Rothrock, who worked with the English singer songwriter on his multi-platinum selling debut ‘Back To Bedlam’. ‘Moon Landing’ also features production from Martin Terefe. The album’s just released anthemic first single ‘Bonfire Heart’ was co-written and produced by Ryan Tedder. Listen to the track via YouTube below.

“This is a much more personal album, and also quite back to basics,” Blunt explained. “It’s about me and Tom, the producer, finding where the story all started and where we are now. It’s an album about dreams, longing, first love. About looking in the mirror and seeing the boy you were, the man you are – and learning to be comfortable with that, flaws and all. About getting back to basics and rediscovering the power of music to communicate emotion directly and honestly, without too much polish or complication.”

Carly Rae Jepsen Throws Epically Bad First Pitch In Tampa

Carly Rae Jepsen Tampa Rays

Carly Rae Jepsen may have thrown the worst first pitch ever at a Tampa Rays game on Sunday (July 14). The Canadian pop singer barely threw the ball past the pitcher’s mound before it bounced on the artificial turf and rolled nowhere near the catcher. The announcers calling the game said Jepsen was “throwing strike after strike after strike” during warmups, but held onto the ball a little too long when it came time for the real deal.

Carly tweeted her followers (@carlyraejepsen) afterward:

So apparently I made ESPN with my fail of a pitch. Lol- Daddy must be so proud.

Demi Lovato performed songs from her latest album ‘Demi’, in a live concert from Greystone Manor in Hollywood. The singer and actress also discussed songwriting, collaborations, and her album in an interview on Walmart Soundcheck.

On her album ‘Demi’, she said, “It’s just a representation of who I am and where I am today and the music I wanted to create for a long time, and I finally got the courage to do so. It kind of goes back to the roots of my first two albums and it’s different because I’m also speaking about some pretty heavy issues and opening up a lot.”

Explaining how she creates her music, Demi said, “My writing process is going into the studio and either having something to say and telling who I’m writing with, ‘Hey, this is what I want to write about. I have to get this off my chest.’ That’s kind of how we start the song, and also trying to personalize it as much as possible.”

Watch the interview, performances of ‘Skyscraper’, ‘Heart Attack’, ‘Give Your Heart a Break’ and ‘Love Like a Star’ at soundcheck.walmart.com/demi-lovato. Check out additional pictures from the appearance after the cut. Continue reading
