Pop Stars Cheer Judge Walker Overturning California’s Gay Marriage Ban

Several artists are weighing in on the news that U.S. District Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker overturned Proposition 8 earlier today, saying that the California ballot initiative that banned same-sex marriage in the state was based on moral disapproval of gay marriage and ordered the enforcement the ban to stop. Among the universally supportive comments on the ruling on Twitter:

Britney Spears And Jason Trawick Discussing Wedding Plans?

Britney Spears and boyfriend Jason Trawick could be headed towards marriage, a Hollywood source tells Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times. A spy said the couple were joined by Jason’s parents at LA’s Grafton on Sunset Hotel for dinner, and were talking about the Chelsea Clinton’s upcoming wedding. “They were particularly interested in the tight security and the way the Clintons had stonewalled for Chelsea’s wedding - and it sounded like they were talking about it all in connection with a Britney and Jason wedding,” the source claimed.

Britney Spears Wants To Be Preserved By Liquid Nitrogen

According to The Sun, Britney Spears is interested in having her body preserved by liquid nitrogen upon her death and be brought back to life if advancements make it possible. “Brit gets these obsessions and this is the latest,” a friend of the pop star told the British tabloid. “It started when someone told her Walt Disney had been preserved by cryogenics to be revived in the future.”

According to the National Enquirer, Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn is being encouraged by their mother Lynne to move in together as Lynne attempts to get her youngest daughter to distance herself from James Watson and restart her acting career. Lynne isn’t happy with Jamie Lynne, 18, dating 28-year-old James. “Lynne is very unhappy about Jamie Lynne’s relationship with James,” a source told the tabloid. “She thinks he’s too old for Jamie Lynn and has nothing to offer her.”

Kesha Sebert, aka Ke$ha, is speaking out against artists such as Britney Spears who practice the “art” of lip synchronization in concert, promising she won’t follow the pop tart’s miming path. “I think that’s bullsh**,” the ‘Tik Tok’ singer said, according to showbizspy.com. “I don’t think that’s fair at all for people who are going to see the show. I think if you are going to be a singer, you should sing. If you are going to be a dancer, you should dance. If you are going to do a combination of the two, you should make it very clear when you are singing and very clear when you are dancing. I would never do that to my fans. No offense to her specifically but people have asked me before to mime. I have been up at three in the morning for a television show with jet lag but I refuse to mime.”
