Miley Cyrus On Snoop Dogg Friendship, Getting High & Hiring Fan

Miley Cyrus, in a ski hat, visits Jimmy Kimmel Live

Miley Cyrus appeared on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Tuesday night (June 25) for an interview and the first live performance of her new single ‘We Can’t Stop’. The former ‘Hannah Montana’ star also performed ‘Fall Down’, joined on stage by will.i.am.

During the interview, Miley talked about her collaboration with Snoop Dogg. “I started hanging out with him in the studio and I worked with Diplo a little bit and they worked on their project when they were making the movie. They had sent me ‘Ashtrays’ and I really liked the song. Not ashtrays, the song is called ‘Ashtrays and Heartbreaks’, and we ended up doing that together and we just kind of became the homie. He’s been really involved. He comes by the studio and listens to my music, he’s involved and he’s excited about what I’m doing with my career, so that’s cool.”

Asked if she and Snoop socialize, Miley said, “We’re more alike than you’d think. We’re very similar. He actually said that.” When Kimmel said it’s because he’s “so high he doesn’t even know what his name is”, Miley said, “Me too, so it’s fine. We both are. That’s how we get along so well I guess.”

On giving her number to one of her biggest fans and if hiring her “stalker” was a good idea, Miley said, “She’s more than a stalker. She’s so obsessed that she knows things about how to break VEVO records, which we did with her help, and I don’t know anything. I don’t YouTube or whatever. She knows what has to be done in what amount of time to be #1 or to break the record. When I first called her, I called her off my friend’s phone. Then I just started texting her all the time. I bet she gets more annoyed of me than I do of her. I hit her up all the time. I’m like, ‘Yo, how are we gonna make this happen? You gotta make the fans trend this. You gotta do that’.”

Cody Simpson Harry Potter

In a recent episode of The Paradise Series, Cody Simpson is seen visiting ‘The Making of Harry Potter’ on the Warner Bros Studio Tour in London, England, and also did a meet and greet for Love Pastry.

“Obviously I’m a big fan of the Harry Potter movies. It was really cool to see the places that they filmed the movies in,” the Australian pop singer explained. “The places in real life, and to walk up the streets that they actually filmed it was pretty sick. My little brother and sister really loved it.”

Cody Simpson spike hairTalking about what he learned visiting the tourist attraction, Cody said, “There was actually some pretty dope things that I learned about the movies. One thing was that there’s like thirty of the same costumes that they used to film. I thought that would be one costume for filming, but they had thirty of the same one, which I thought was pretty tight. The lady that was our tour guide for the day, she actually was one of the makers of the costume, which I thought was pretty sick.”

Simpson continued, “They had this setup there where they taught you how to do the spells with the wand, so Alli and I gave it a go. We had a little wand battle, which was a bit of fun. Also, they got me on this broom stick in front of the green screen, and it looked like I was flying through the Harry Potter world, which was crazy.”

Mollie King single

The post show party for ‘Chasing The Saturdays Episode 3 #SatsOnTheBeach’ has been posted online. The clip features Frankie Sandford, Mollie King, Rochelle Wiseman, Una Healy and Vanessa White talking with Terrence Jenkins about the episode, which featured Rochelle attempting to purchase $23,000 in lighting before getting rejected by her man and by Una, Mollie trying to hit it off with a surfer dude before he revealed he’s not single,

Rochelle explained in regards to her attempted shopping trip, “The reason it was so expensive was because I had planned to ship it back to London. Anyway, I sort of realized if I wanted to not get divorced, I better not spend $23,000.”

Talking about the difficulties in being the only unattached member of the girl group, Mollie said, “Well, I’m kind of like the 9th wheel, because of them and all of their boyfriends. It’s fine, because I get really involved in their (relationships) as well. I tried to invite myself on holiday with Frankie and her boyfriend. I was like, ‘Do you guys want to go skiing?’ because I really do, and they’re like, ‘Not with you Mollie’.”

Asked about the three things she looks for in a guy, Mollie listed one and said, “Firstly, they have to get on with the girls. If they don’t, the girls will tell me about it. They’re so hard, any poor guy that would come in, they’d be getting the 21 questions.”

Gin Wigmore On ‘Gravel & Wine’, Butch Walker & Acoustic Shows

Gin Wigmore chains on the arm

Gin Wigmore came by the studios at 104.3 MYfm to talk with Damien Fahey about her song style, recording her latest album ‘Gravel & Wine’, working with Butch Walker on the project, and challenging herself doing acoustic sets.

Talking about how she found her soulful, bluegrass sound, Gin said, “Well, I went to America, and I kind of found it here. I spent about a month and a half cruising around Mississippi and Nashville, and Alabama, and figured out what this whole blues thing is about.”

On her sound prior to coming to America, Gin said, “It was a little bit different. It was probably a little more poppy, I guess, maybe. It’s definitely more gritty now and it’s got that great kind of dirty, strong drums and kind of swagger to it now I think.”

Asked about collaborating with Butch Walker on her second album ‘Gravel & Wine’, Gin said, “It was great. He’s very relaxed and he’s got great integrity and we’re very like minded and we like the same things, basically, so it made it very easy.”

Quizzed about doing acoustic shows on a radio tour, she said, “It’s great. It’s really nice. It’s cool to challenge yourself, I think that’s what you always need to do in any area in your life, so the fact that this is out of my comfort zone is really fun for me.”

Jessie Ware Talks ‘Sweet Talk’ Video, Celebrity Props

Jessie Ware

Jessie Ware visited with Billy on WTF to discuss touring Australia with Laneway Festival, her music video for ‘Sweet Talk’, what it’s like to have celebrity fans such as Katy Perry, Beyonce and Russell Crowe, among other topics.

Jessie Ware hoops“So I love doing videos and I’m really involved in them, but I’ve been so busy I really didn’t have time to be in a video totally, so we came up with the idea wouldn’t it be fun to mock the whole writing process,” Jessie said about the ‘Sweet Talk’ treatment. “Because people take it so seriously. It’s all like, ‘I’m in the studio’, so, and I love kids, so hello mini-me. Why don’t we get her to wear the double bun. Wear the kind of Polo neck and really just kind of mock the first video I did, which was ‘Running’. You had to Vogue and do all this. It’s really about (Julio) Bashmore and I, in the studio, writing ‘Sweet Talk’. It was really fun, really nice.”

On if was bizarre to see Russell Crowe attending her show, Jessie said, “Yes, he’s Hollywood. He’s like A-list, that’s like, you know… He was so nice. He came to the dressing room after to introduce himself. He had very kind eyes, and he was just really nice. It really helps when a celebrity through Twitter or whatnot, posts a video of yours, the amount of followers, more people here about you.”

After counters with Crowe or online props from the likes of Katy or Beyonce, Jessie talked about how she stays grounded. “Because when I get back on Sunday, my boyfriend’s making me cook him a three course dinner,” Jessie explained. “Because I haven’t been in the house for a month, and he thinks it’s time I’m back in the kitchen cooking him some nice food.”

Bruno Mars fingers

Bruno Mars spoke with TMZ about some of his backstage tour rider requests, after being told about some of the zany requests from artists like Lady Gaga’s demands for a naked mannequin and Marilyn Manson’s requirement for a pound of gummy bears and a hairless, toothless prostitute.

“Mine is pretty boring compared to that stuff,” he said. “Wet wipes and a bottle of wine, and I’m good to go.” When told that would be good in lieu of a shower after a concert, Bruno said, “That’s it. That’s all we got sometimes.”
